Certified Tutor

I am an Economics and Spanish Major at the University of Portland! I plan to continue on to law school and become an attorney in the future. I have a passion for knowledge and teaching. I have been involved in teaching my entire life. I have worked as a tutor for the past 5 years, teaching every subject. I was the full-time tutor for my calculus class, and I am employed as a Spanish and Economics tutor at my college. As President of my Leadership class for 3 years, I learned many skills for adapting concepts to individuals and different types of learners. In college, I am part of the Leadership Certificate Program, which trains young leaders on teaching and communicating with people based on their own unique strengths. This type of strength-0based learning is the most valuable tool for a tutor because it provides the ability to personalize lessons and help the student grow more effectively. I can promise, as your tutor, I will clarify concepts, track your progress and design lesson plans to yield the best results. I will teach you how to apply concepts rather than memorize and repeat.
