Certified Tutor

I have always been passionate about teaching science and math. I understand the importance of having a good foundation of math and science in the field that I work in and as a grad student at NJIT. I love to see students achieve in the field of engineering, chemistry, material science and mathematics. The best way to see such success is developing a good understanding the basic subject early on in middle school and high school. As a volunteer as for the Nonprofit organization, Newark Science and Sustainability, I have conducted talks, PowerPoints and produce posters on the science of gardening, renewable energy technology, and nutrition. I got my bachelor's degree in Material Science and Engineering at Penn State University and currently working on my master's degree in Material Science and Engineering at NJIT. I have tutored students in Prealgebra, Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics and Economics. My favorite subject to teach is chemistry and algebra. My approach in helping students understanding the subjects is applying real life applications to the subjects. I believe in incorporating real world examples to help students understand the application of math and science in the real world.
