I have spent more than twenty years in the field of education in both general and special education settings. My career in education has afforded me many opportunities to work with students at the preschool through undergraduate levels. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Special Education as well as graduate degrees in both Reading and Educational Leadership and Technology. More recently, I completed a Doctor of Education degree. While I tutor a wide range of academic subjects, I have a significant interest in facilitating comprehension of material read and strengthening student written response. I am an advocate of bridging the gap between what students know and what they need to know. In my spare time, I practice yoga, read for enjoyment, and take pictures of healthy dishes I have prepared.
