Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of both Caltech and Cornell University. I received my BS in Mechanical Engineering at Caltech and my MS in Materials Science and Engineering at Cornell University. In between getting my degrees, I tutored many students at Kaplan Test Prep. After I got my MS degree, I spent 5 months living in Kenya where I volunteered for math camps there and in Ethiopia. I taught middle-school aged kids there that math can be fun! I really enjoyed working with those students and love the idea that math can be fun and games. A couple of years after living in Kenya, I started working for the Materials Research Laboratory at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. My favorite part of that job was training users one-on-one to use some of the exceptional instruments there. I loved helping users understand the instruments and enabling their scientific progress. I can teach a wide-range of age groups and my favorite subjects to teach are Math and Science. In my spare time I teach and practice aerial arts.
