I am very prepared to tutor students who are preparing for the SSAT, ISEE, HSPT, GED, SAT, and ACT. I have developed some of my own diagnostic tests, practice quizzes, PowerPoints, and "homework" assignments.

-International Baccalaureate Diploma in high school
-Lenoir-Rhyne University-academic scholarship (honors program)-Bachelor's degree in English Education
-National Board Certified English teacher with 13 years of experience teaching 8th, 9th, and 10th grade English

I believe that every person has different strengths, but we are all capable of success. I like to help people find their own specific strengths and figure out how to capitalize on them. My biggest strengths as a tutor are teaching essay writing skills, organizational/planning/time management skills, and I'm really good at researching and finding new educational resources that are available online so that students can practice and study on their own, too-whether it be test prep or academic subject specific practice.

I like making people laugh, watching documentaries, hanging out with my dog, reading, and cheering on the Vegas Golden Knights hockey team! I look forward to getting to know you!
