Your Guide to Mathematics
I am military trained, receiving my Honor Graduate status in 2013 as a Satellite Operation Technician with the U.S. Army Signal Corp. Most recently I've obtained my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2019. Since 2016 I have worked with students on a number of subjects that are required coursework for curriculum in the classroom, and with students on the dance floor as an instructor and choreographer. I am passionate about assisting students with their academic goals, between the satisfaction of it being a challenge to tackle to being victorious. Education, creativity, and life-long learning can apply to many facets of a person's life and I love to be a part of watering those seeds and watching them grow.
My favorite subject to tutor is any level of mathematics. I am deeply drawn to statistics because it is useful to interpret data with the application of graphs and probability, however, I love the challenge of helping a student feel confident when they conquer something that they felt incapable of doing. I tutor an array of subjects that are related to math. Some examples are (but not limited to): College Algebra, Linear Algebra, Calculus l, ll, and lll, Physics, Statistics, and Trigonometry. Also, I help students prepare for various Standardized Tests, such as: ACT, SAT, GRE, Praxis, and ASVAB. My tutoring includes mastering program applications like Excel. My teaching philosophy is initiated with the understanding that everyone learns a little bit differently, however, we all know something. It's important for me to pull those common threads of the general knowledge we may share and build upon those fibers, weaving a tapestry of advanced knowledge on the subject matter.
Outside of academia, I enjoy the arts! Dance is a primary passion and movement compliments my creativity in modeling, fashion design, and graphic design. I love music, sewing, and organizing classes and productions. Being a mathematician has added to my creativity and exploring the balance of logic and gifted limbs is a freedom that I share with my students and the world.
