I started my career as a registered nurse in trauma intensive care, before being promoted to public health nurse for more than 36 years. I have worked in various capacities providing healthcare across a variety of specialty settings. As a lifelong learner, I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from St. John Fisher College; I am also a board-certified family nurse practitioner. I was honored Sigma Theta Tau. Since then, I was recognized with a Faculty Initiative Grant Award as Nurse Educator for college nursing students. I held two elected positions for the New York State Nurses Association; Public Health Practice Focus Group Delegate and AFL-CIO Delegate. I was also honored with the Nurse Practice Award. Additionally, co-authored a published article: "Privacy and Health Law" in the Nurse Practitioner Association Journal of New York.

Most recently I practice as a family nurse practitioner in post-acute care settings. I also manage patients who suffer from COVID-19 and related long term sequalae. I am also a consultant for Diabetes Connections 4 life, inc. providing diabetes self-management education.

I am very passionate in preparing Nurse Practitioners for National Board Certification, and nurses (NCLEX). My philosophy is to facilitate essentials of critical thinking, assessment, diagnosis, intervention, technology and test taking skills for success. The current state of healthcare is dire. There is "a call to action" for health care professionals to promote life quality and prevent premature death as never before during this unprecedented health care crisis.
