Certified Tutor

Hello artists and learning extraordinaires! I am super excited to add Varsity Tutors to my educational resume so thank you for checking out my courses. I hope you find one or more classes that pique your creative interests.

I am a graduate of Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL where I majored in Visual Art with an emphasis on ceramics and photography. I hold a Professional Educator's Certificate in Visual Art K-12 and have worked in public, private and healthcare settings for over 20 years.

I LOVE learning all kinds of new things every single day and artmaking has been a passion of mine since childhood. My current roster of classes includes primarily art-related courses such as AP Art History, Digital Photography, Fine Art, and Digital Art. My short-term goal is to be adding courses like Art for Healing, Sewing, Junk Journaling, Bookmaking and Modern Home Economics.

My hope is that in taking any of my classes, you will discover new and exciting things about the world around you and about what makes you uniquely special. Art allows you to study cultures from around the globe throughout the entire timeline of recorded history. You will learn about your heritage and even have the opportunity to tell your own personal story in a variety of creative ways.

You will also get to see how much fun math and science can be in the world of art. Yep I said it Math & and; Science can be fun!!!

Most importantly, you will discover lots of ways to make your own art pieces in order to let your personal narrative be seen and heard.
