I believe that math is an essential part of our lives. The skills we learn in math help with our logical reasoning throughout life. I have taught math all around the world and as they say, it is a universal language.

I have my BA in Mathematics, M.Ed in Gifted Education and I am Nationally Board Certified in Adolescent/Young Adult Mathematics. I also hold a teaching certificate in Iowa, Illinois and Georgia for 6-12 Math. I have worked as a standards-based project manager for K-12 math for 3 years.

When I am not being a nerd doing math on my own, I am teaching my three daughters how to do their elementary math. My husband's job has us moving every 2 years, so our whole crew enjoys seeing the country with our trusty Chocolate Lab JJ in tow.

I enjoy playing tennis with my three daughters, cooking new recipes with my husband, taking my chocolate lab JJ for walks. I have lived in 2 countries and 6 states in the last 9 years, so I am very good at packing and unpacking!
