Certified Tutor

One of my greatest passions in life is and always will be helping students learn. Though teaching at my local community college, at a University in Laos, and thought private piano lessons with students here in the US I have come to love watching my students' worlds grow as they discover the joy and encouragement that learning has to offer. I am a graduate of Samford University, where I majored in Music and Minored in History; The University of Edinburgh, where I earned an MSc in Archaeology; and Kaplan University, where I earned an MA in Teaching. Though I love all types of learning I am particularly fond of History, Anthropology, Reading, and Literature. I believe it is my job to equip my students with the tools that they need to be able to learn and think for themselves. I endeavor to use many different learning styles to reach as many students as possible. My job is to equip and encourage! In my "leisure time" I enjoy working with my horses, spending time with my goats, and reading or watching TV on the couch with my dog curled up next to me.
