I am graduate of Politics from the University of Lancaster (BA hons 2.1) a graduate of International Relations at the University of Birmingham (MA) and am Associate of the Chartered Institute of Banking.

As a former bank manager and management consultant I have extensive industry knowledge of business, finance and management and have taught over the last 5 years a range of business and management modules both at degree level and the Chartered Institute of Management programme. I have also taught various International Relations Economics, Marketing and International Business courses.

I absolutely love teaching and have a flair for bringing often dry academic theory to life with practical examples and stories from my many years as a bank manager and general experience. I have an affable manner which easily connects with students from all backgrounds and abilities and my core philosophy is to make my lessons as interesting, entertaining and engaging as possible. The student is therefore at the heart of everything.

Although my academic and business background lends itself to politics, business and management disciplines, I also have a deep passion for history and geography which for me are not peripheral subjects but foundation subjects which I have learnt as part of a broader education to better understand international politics.

In my 5 years of teaching I am happy to say that I have loved every student and always aim for each and everyone to do the best they can.
