Certified Tutor

I am currently a rising senior enrolled at Case Western Reserve University where I am studying for my Bachelor's in Science and Engineering in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. I am a 4.0 student and take great pride in my coursework. I am most passionate about math, physics, and all engineering subjects related to those two- whether it be basic calculus, dynamics, circuits and instrumentation, or fluid mechanics. However, I am very comfortable tutoring English, Literature, and Reading Comprehension; as I used to be a volunteer tutor at a church where I primarily tutored those subjects. Through my time in university, I have learned to love education and helping others learn. My tutoring style has developed organically based on my experiences being both on the receiving and providing end of tutoring services. One of the most satisfying things I think a person can feel is the ever-elusive "Aha!" moment, where something that was once challenging and confusing suddenly makes perfect sense. I like to imagine that my tutoring style is like a LEGO set where I give a student the pieces of a subject and act as their instructions. I give a student the correct pieces at the correct time, so that they can eventually piece together the full scope of the subject. I want my students to be able to know that they were the ones who pieced the concepts together and gained a deeper understanding of the subject they were struggling with. They should be the ones who make the "Aha!" connection and experience the "Aha!" moment.
