Certified Tutor

I am a retired teacher now after 31 years. I received my Bachelors of Science in Education from Jarvis Christian College which is now a University. I have worked in elementary education for 25 of those 31 years. I have taught PreK all the way to 6th grade. During my time of teaching, I taught all subjects, but I have a strong passion for teaching elementary math. Teaching math allows students to realize that there are many ways to solve problems. The way that I teach you may not always work for you, but you may realize that another strategy may work and we reach the same answer. I believe that all students are capable of learning. Building relationships with my students and giving them a safe place allows them to be risk takers. When they are willing to take risks, they gain the confidence they need to be successful.
