Hello!

I'm Jordan, a dedicated and experienced secondary school English teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). With years of hands-on classroom experience spanning all ability levels from KS3 to GCSE, I can confidently help you make progress in both English Language and English Literature. In addition to my QTS, I hold a degree in English and Creative Writing, meaning I can also help you take your creative writing to the next level!

In my previous role as a Lead Practitioner, I took charge of developing the English curriculum for both KS3 and KS4, so rest assured that I'm well-versed in the latest exam specifications and requirements - you'll be in safe hands! I have a wealth of experience in tailoring my teaching methods to suit the needs of my students, so I will adapt my style to ensure that you can access the material within our sessions as effectively and as easily as possible.

My tutoring style is relaxed, friendly, and informal with each session's objectives and activites centring around prior conversations with yourself. During our initial session (or free video call), we'll have a chat about how you're getting on in English, what you believe your strengths are, and where you believe you can improve. From this conversation, I will craft a personalised learning journey tailored to your unique needs with the primary goal of helping you achieve progress in the subject whilst also boosting your self-confidence.
