Certified Tutor
My passion for helping students stems from a deep commitment to emergency preparedness and health education. From a young age, I understood the transformative power of knowledge and the confidence it brings. I became the youngest person certified in First Aid/CPR/AED by the American Red Cross at age 8, which ignited my dedication to teaching others. By 16, I became a certified instructor for the Red Cross and have since earned certification as an instructor trainer.
Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion/Health Equity at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with the goal of becoming a nurse practitioner and eventually earning a PhD in nursing to further advance the field and educate future nurses. With extensive experience in teaching life-saving skills and science, I tutor subjects such as microbiology, emergency medical services (EMR, EMT, AEMT), emergency preparedness, health science, psychology, and AP test prep.
My teaching philosophy centers on inclusivity and support, particularly for students with ADHD, helping them develop strategies to enhance their learning and manage their symptoms. Outside of academia, I enjoy laying in my hammock, hiking, and spending time with friends.
