As a graduate of the University of Texas of El Paso with a Bachelor's in Science in Cellular and Molecular Biochemistry with a diverse and multidisciplinary experience in STEM research. Published an article on a self-regenerating Hydrogel for the absorption and degradation of antibiotics in hospital effluent and have also worked on synthesizing Cholesterol analogs to study the function of several enzymes in Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which I had the opportunity of testing myself.
During the 2020-2022 COVID-19 lockdown, I cloned, expressed and purified Nsp10:Nsp16 Sars-CoV-2 Enzyme complex to test against several ligands of interest for therapeutic interests. I have also worked as a scribe and can build on prior experience as a Vice-President for a Pre-Medical Student club in my Undergraduate days and can provide some peer-to-peer career advice to Pre-Med and Pre-Science students or students interested in those career paths.
I also take great pride in using a flipped classroom approach one-on-one to help students not only become better students, but also to help there own peers learn material typically difficult to digest.
