Certified Tutor

I am a very friendly prospective graduate student who is passionate about helping students be empowered in their learning and build confidence in their abilities. I am happy to tutor a variety of subjects, but specialize in math, physics, and ACT Math and Science.

I have a bachelors of science in Engineering Physics with a Minor in Informatics from UIUC and am applying for masters programs this fall in economics and/or computational public policy. I also have 4 years of experience in tech consulting and love working with people from all walks of life.

I have lots of experience working with students of all ages including middle school, high school, college, and adults :) I have worked at summer camps, tutored in school-affiliated programs, private tutored, and done lots of volunteer tutoring.

I strive to help students not feel patronized or shamed in moments of confusion, but empowered to see that they CAN do it. Everyone is on their own individual education journey and each student should have the opportunity to learn in a way that best suits them.

Let's be honest, math and physics can both be really difficult, but the rewards and joys of problem solving, of successfully mastering material, of learning that you CAN do it, are totally worth it.

I am an indiscriminate nerd and enjoy a BROAD variety of activities and subjects, but if I have to narrow it down some I tend to gravitate towards are: reading, singing, learning piano, being outside, working out, doing crosswords and puzzles of all sorts, hiking, and above all being with people :)
