I have been a teacher since 1990 and received my Masters Degree in Special Education from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon in 2014. My experience in Special Education has allowed me to develop a variety of ways to explain concepts to accommodate the different needs and types of learners I teach. Many students have exclaimed, "I've never heard that explained that way, I finally get it!" I have taught all levels of students from Kindergarten to adult learners and am passionate about teaching students with a desire to learn and understand concepts that are challenging to them. This is why tutoring is a great fit for me. Most students are here because they either want or need to understand a concept that might be challenging at the moment. My goal is to help get past those challenges and give you the tools to remember the concepts in a fun and relatable way. personally, I have an Italian Greyhound that I love dearly and live near my 3 sisters and 1 brother, so I have a lot of fun family time with them and my many nieces and nephews.

Outside of school I have a huge stack of books I want to read and love collecting biographies and many other books. I enjoy movies and trivia, as well. I love living in Oregon and try to get to the coast as often as I can. In 2017, I walked the Portland Marathon and am currently training to be able to do it again.
