I am a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and Duke University. I received my Bachelor's degree in History and my Master's degree in Religious Studies. Since graduation I have tutored students in American History and Biblical Hebrew, which were exceedingly rewarding experiences. I am especially passionate in helping students learn to think critically, and enjoy the process of learning. While I tutor a variety of subjects, I am most enthusiastic about tutoring in History and Writing because these subjects utilize skills that students will use and cultivate throughout their lives and are applicable for many careers. I would describe my teaching philosophy as hands on and project-based learning. I strive to include fun and relevant videos, songs, and activities into my curriculum to ensure the engagement of my students. Outside of academia I like painting, baking, hiking, photography, and having game nights with friends.

I am a certified EE Engineer. I received my master's degree in Electrical Engineering in 2019 from the University of Texas at Tyler with a focus in Power and Energy System. During my master's degree I worked as Teaching Assistant and Instructor. I mentored various years of undergrad students; mostly engineering courses such as circuit theory, electronic I & II, mathematics, and Power System. I tutored few students to pass their FE. I am a senior at Virginia Commonwealth University. I am working towards a BFA in Dance and Choreography with minors in Political Science and Psychology. I have served as a TA for a freshman honors writing course at VCU since Fall 2018. I have also assisted and taught children's dance classes. I'm Erintrude, a recent graduate of Kenyon College and an MFA candidate at NCSU. I have two years of experience tutoring elementary level reading and writing for two different families, and miscellaneous tutoring experience in the fields of French, English and Test Prep (SAT and ACT). As a co-founder and head editor of a publishing press at my college, for a year and a half I have run workshops where I assigned contemporary literature, and taught these pieces to deepen reader's comprehension. I'm an archaeology PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania with extensive teaching experience at the college level. I have recently retired from the HiTech industry as an Engineering Executive with a Professional Engineering License practicing more than 35yrs. Additionally, my MS Mechanical Engineering Degree was focused on Structural Mechanics as a specialty. Since retirement from industry, I have been a substitute High School teacher for Math and Science along with being a Varsity Tutor. Both educational roles allow me to be a mentor by helping future STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) students grow educationally, and Engineers pass their FE & PE Exams in achieving Engineering Licensure. The FE & PE License Exam Curriculum that I have developed is highly successful with over a 90% passing rate for those students tutored.

I am an undergraduate engineering student at North Carolina University, I plan on double majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering. I am a chemist having majored in Organic chemistry for my BS degree and environmental chemistry for my MS degree, in my career as an analytical chemist both in Research and development in a plastics industry and analytical chemist in environmental health laboratories, I have been a lifetime student of organic chemistry and chemistry in general. My passion has always been to help student excel in chemistry, especially organic chemistry which has endless applications in the present word. I started by tutoring my own children in high school and helped my daughter graduate with a BS in chemical engineering at North Carolina State University and my son as an electrical engineer from the same college. Organic chemistry bogs down students if they are behind in some basic principles such as understanding the periodic table and why the elements are arranged in specific patterns, i.e. periods and groups. They must be very clear about the filling of electrons in various shells and orbitals. A basic understanding of this will open doors to many aspects of the bonding theory, hybridization of carbon and its tetrahedral nature and the ability of carbon to infinitely bond with itself to make long chains and many complex derivatives. Chemical reactions take place at the outermost, also referred to as the valency shell and therefore understanding the orbitals in the outer shell helps the student tell what a sigma or a Pi bond is and other characteristics of a bonded atom such as lone pair of electrons which plays important roles in reactions and ligand chemistry. My favorite hobby is soccer and football. I love music so I usually play my guitar for leisure. I spend a lot of time studying interesting topics in organic chemistry on the internet.
