Gelsey
- I'm a University of Washington graduate (class of '10) and a former Education Volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps.
- Before that, I tutored middle and high school students in Seattle Public School District.
About Me
I recently completed two years of volunteer service in Rwanda where I taught 8th grade English and 10th grade English Communication Skills for two years. My favorite subjects to tutor are English writing and composition, ESL and social sciences. I also know what it takes to succeed on standardized tests like the SAT, SSAT and ACT. If you're a student struggling with timed essay writing, I can help you out. If you're about to take the SAT and you're worried about the math section, never fear I'm not a "math person," but I found ways to get that high score! Above all I believe that learning can be fun, that the pursuit of knowledge is important and ongoing, and that the skills it takes to succeed in school are worth developing because they're important in life, too. I've traveled all over the world and I love sharing my experiences. I also love singing, playing guitar and being outdoors.
