I've found that the most important aspect of tutoring is encouraging students to realize their own potential and ability to succeed, no matter what material lies before them. Learning is not just confined to facts in a textbook, and giving students the tools to succeed in school and beyond is of utmost importance to me. As a recent graduate from Rice University with a double-major in English and Biology, I have extensive experience with a broad range of academic subjects. My tutoring experience includes teaching introductory biology, working with students individually on their essay writing, and high school level mathematics.
