I have a great passion for learning, and relish the opportunity to use my enthusiasm to help students learn and grow as individuals. Tutoring is ideally suited to my strengths as a teacher. I thrive in an environment where I can build a connection with a student based on trust and mutual respect. I work hard to learn about my students' unique learning styles and personalities, and adapt my teaching methods to most effectively meet each student's individual needs. I look forward to the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives. I have previously worked as a reading tutor at a community center in East Harlem, New York. and also taught in the US Peace Corps.

Reading, writing and performing comedy, going to the movies, fishing, hiking, camping, bicycling, cooking new and delicious meals, traveling as much as possible.
