This included volunteering as a docent at a wildlife refuge in Nevada, educating aquarium guests on whale watch cruises in Southern California, and performing environmental monitoring and outreach in the Puget Sound region of Washington State. While my recent experiences provide me a deep understanding and love for Biology and Ecology related subjects, I have intensive writing experience from college that fuels my passion for writing and language, a passion that I use when preparing students to understand and succeed on the ACT. I believe that even the most complex scientific concepts can be broken down into easily understood ideas, and hope to impart this belief to my students. In my free time, I enjoy hiking around the Pacific Northwest, wildlife watching, playing music, and the occasional board game with friends.
