Hello! Having a younger sibling with multiple disabilities, I always knew that I wanted to go into special education to "do better" for our students. I strive to be the best teacher I can be, so that my students get the best education possible. As a special education teacher, I understand the importance of differentiating and meeting a student at their current knowledge level. I always strive to find the best way for each and every one of my students to learn, as no one learns the same way. I love working with students and seeing the personal growth they make, both children and adults. Every single student has the ability to succeed no matter their age, disability, or current skill gaps! In addition to a special education degree, I have additional certifications in the areas of English as a second language and Gifted and Talented education. I have taught grades K-8 in a typical school setting (ELA, MA, Science, Social Skills, etc.) as well as adults learning the English language which I did at night for parents that had children attending my school.
