10+ years of tutoring
Christina
- I was a general biology major, but have a passion for microbiology and health.
- In college, I taught fourth graders various STEM subjects weekly, and focused on hands-on engaging ways to teach these topics.
About Me
I recently graduated from Claremont McKenna College, where I studied biology and wrote my thesis on the potential link between gut microbes and depression. I have also worked as an office assistant at my college's disability resource center, a camp counselor, and a soccer coach, so I have experience working with a wide range of age groups. Through tutoring, I hope to instill a passion for science in my clients, by making tough topics easy to understand and relatable to everyday experiences. As a recent graduate, I know how frustrating and confusing some of these topics can be, and I have developed my own tips and tricks to better understand them. I look forward to helping others work through those difficult topics and get them excited about science! In the future, I hope to attend medical school. When I'm not studying or tutoring science, I enjoy hiking and camping in the Pacific Northwest.
