After graduating, I taught in various capacities including as a high school history teacher, a college English teacher in Turkey through the Fulbright Student Program, and created and executed professional development workshops in two West Philadelphia schools while working as part of the University of Pennsylvania's Netter Center for Community Partnerships. These experiences have provided me with the ability to adhere to the needs of a variety of learners. Currently, I am finishing up my M.A in history at the University of Cincinnati and will be entering into a joint Ph.D. program studying the history of education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My expertise as both a historian and as an educator provide me with the tools needed to help my students succeed.
