About Me
Hi, my name is Kandice Jones and I'm a recent graduate of Smith College (Class of 2019). I received my Bachelor of Arts in both Government and Economics with concentrations in African Studies and Development. Aside from teaching, I also hosted regularly attended book clubs and entrepreneurship programs for youth. Despite only having formal experience tutoring English and other related subjects, I still have a passion for Mathematics. Growing up, I hated math because I thought I could never learn the subject. It wasn't until college, where I reconsidered the possibility. Through many tutoring sessions and long nights of practice, the subject became less of a chore and more of a hobby. Looking back, I wish that I had someone to assist and push me past my limits, someone who had the patience to explain steps thoroughly and guide me through answering my questions. Although I didn't have such a person when I was younger, I would love to be that for others. It's important for me to show all my students that anything is possible with the right amount of dedication, patience, and support.
