- Through my extensive tutoring experiences, I strongly believe I am an effective tutor.
About Me
I am a graduate of Carleton College and currently work as a cancer immunology researcher at MIT. My ultimate goal is to matriculate in an MD/PhD program and become a medical researcher, and I look forward to one day teaching classes of my own. My passion for teaching and tutoring began early in my college career, when I started as a teaching assistant in the Carleton Biology department my sophomore year. I helped teach introductory biology courses, genetics, cell biology and immunology to classes ranging from 30-70 students, and I tutored AP biology students at the local high school. While I have studied and tutored biology in most depth, I also have extensive classroom and tutoring experiences in math, physics and chemistry, as well as standardized tests such as the ACT and the SAT + practice tests. I firmly believe in meeting students where they are at with their understanding, and fostering a relationship of trust and openness, and I believe that this makes the process of learning much easier!
