I received my Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Resources with minors in Conservation Ecology and Applied Statistics. During my undergraduate degree I travelled the state of West Virginia teaching natural resources science and conservation to a variety of youth groups including Boy Scouts and 4-H. I was also a teaching assistant for an upper-level conservation genetics course. I am currently earning my Master of Science in Biological Sciences from Nova Southeastern University where I study marine fish ecology in the Pacific Ocean. While at NSU I was a teaching assistant for a graduate level course in R programming and biostatistics. I have been an ACT/SAT test prep and subject tutor for almost two years now, and enjoy helping students reach their academic goals. I am most passionate about teaching science, English, and reading, but I also tutor many students that struggle in high school math. I emphasize a relaxed but focused environment while tutoring, and I want to help students build their confidence in whatever area they need support. I firmly believe that learning should always be interesting and fun, even when challenging. In my spare time I enjoy wildlife photography, reading, and hiking.
