Currently, I am attending Old Dominion University to complete my master's degree in biology with an emphasis in microbiology/immunology. I have much experience in the education field beginning with my time as a preschool teacher for 1 year. Additionally, upon my undergraduate graduation, I worked as a full-time substitute teacher for grades K-8. I have experience teaching all subjects in K-8 classrooms. I am most passionate about tutoring science, especially biology, as this is the field I have spent most of my time in. I believe all students have the potential to succeed if they are putting in their best effort and maintaining a positive attitude throughout the process. Therefore, I always encourage my students to never say negative remarks regarding their learning to avoid dejection feelings of insecurity. I would consider myself a life-long learner as I am always on a quest to discover new information and I hope to instill a love of learning onto others.

In my spare time I enjoy reading (especially mystery novels and science journals), playing tennis, working out, and travelling.
