I am passionate about helping students because I believe education is transformative it empowers individuals and broadens perspectives. I know firsthand how a supportive and engaging learning environment can inspire growth, and I strive to create that same experience for my students. I have experience working with students in both classroom and one-on-one settings. I have taught English Composition, Creative Writing, and African American Literature at Georgia State University and Ball State University, where I worked with students of diverse backgrounds. My experience also includes mentoring students through writing workshops and tutoring sessions, helping them strengthen their analytical skills, refine their writing processes, and build confidence in their abilities. I earned my Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing from Georgia State University and my MA in English from Ball State University and am currently pursuing a PhD in English, with a focus on environmental literature, Southern Cli-Fi, and African American Studies. I tutor in English, Writing, Literature, and College Essay Preparation. My favorite subject to tutor is writing because it is both a skill and an art one that allows students to express themselves while developing clarity, critical thinking, and creativity. Writing is also an invaluable tool for self-reflection and empowerment, and I love guiding students as they refine their voices and ideas.
