I'm a Stephen King fanboy, but I also try to stretch myself with heavier nonfiction books. My wife and I are also major movie watchers. We're currently working our way through a list called "1,000 Films To See Before You Die." It has everything from The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari to Inception. We also mix in cheesy horror movies every now and then, because no film diet is complete without a little junk food.

I'm a huge Red Sox fan and love watching detective shows when I have free time.

I'm a native Austinite, but I lived in New York while I got my Bachelor's in Comparative Literature and minored in Linguistics. After I graduated I moved back home to Austin and got my Masters in Global Policy Studies at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT. Now I'm in Fort Worth, with an MBA I picked up along the way (also from UT Austin) -- apparently I can't stay out of school for long.

I am continuing my education with a Master's in the same field. For years, I've helped my friends and siblings with homework for school, and they've always told me that I had a talent for teaching; I understand concepts very easily, and explanations come easy as well. The goal that I work towards for my students is to bless them holistically, both through my academic skills and through any relationship that I am able to build with them. I believe in teaching my key patterns of thinking; teach them how to fish instead of giving them a fish, as it is said. I am best at Math and Science, and any of the high-school level subjects pertaining to those fields.

I am currently a Master's student at Cornell University. I graduated with my Bachelor's of Science from Cornell in 2016 and I plan to attend medical school in the fall of 2017. I'm Eisha, a Public Health major at the University of Texas at Austin with an interest in medicine and teaching.

I'm currently attending Rice University- pursuing a double major Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Economics. As you can probably tell I'm very passionate about math, and I'm even more passionate about teaching it! I prefer to teach math a little differently than some of you may used to. Many of students think of math as a plug and chug approach- simply being given formulas and plugging numbers in. While I will give you the formulas and critical things to remember if you insist on it, I prefer to teach mathematics as a form of problem solving. How math works is a beautiful thought process- understanding how a formula was conceived is much more rewarding than simply memorizing it. But in the end it's all up to you- the student. If you want a fast run-down of everything you need to know to ace the test- I'll happily help you. However, if you're willing to think outside of the box and learn some very neat stuff, I'll open the doors to mathematical problem solving for you!

I am currently accepting students in all math subjects through the high school level, standardized test preparation (SAT, GRE, SSAT, PSAT), computer science, writing, study skills and organizational skills.

I am graduate of Brown University, where I received a degree in Economics and studied topics ranging from Computer Science and Applied Math to Literary Arts and Philosophy. I even helped create a class during my senior year, working together with other students to write a syllabus, gather reading materials, schedule guest speakers, and ultimately, present the results to an academic dean for course credit. After graduation, I moved to Hong Kong, where I worked at a a summer program at the University of Hong Kong, in partnership with the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth, as a Teaching Assistant in a Game Theory class for advanced middle school students. After the program ended, I traveled around Asia, visiting places in Malaysia and Vietnam before eventually returning to the American South, where, as a native North Carolinian, I feel at home. I usually prefer tutoring in subjects involving math and social sciences but I am very flexible. Outside of education, I love playing guitar and piano, and I have released music both as a solo artist and as part of a band. I also like to play disc golf and lacrosse and enjoy participating in fantasy football.

I am a graduate of Texas A&M University; I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology along with being a minor in Spanish. I also studied at Plano ISD in high school. As Plano ISD is recognized for its academic achievements and competitiveness, I have always been positively challenged by my curriculum and by my peers to improve and to push myself to excel. From a young age, I have always been a part of the Gifted and Talented program. Trying to challenge myself and wanting to be different, I took a risk and joined the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, a program that was not as well recognized at the time and was extremely difficult. Joining the IB program was the best decision I have taken thus far. I am a student at Trinity University currently studying biochemistry. I have experience as a tutor my senior year at Clear Lake High School, when I worked as an instructor at Mathnasium. I also volunteered in a program helping students with SAT prep and college applications. In high school I took advanced STEM courses at the University of North Texas through a high school program called the Texas Academy of Math and Science.
