I am a rising junior psychology major and neuroscience minor at Texas A&M University. I plan on attending medical school after graduating. I love science and the liberal arts! My favorites subjects are biology, chemistry, and Latin. I've had a passion for teaching and tutoring for a very long time and have had much informal tutoring experience. My favorite part about tutoring is the breakthrough moment when a student understands something they've been struggling with and they're able to really appreciate what they're learning. As nerdy as it sounds I love taking difficult tests, and over the years I've developed study strategies that have helped me be successful. I took a multitude of AP tests which helped me tremendously in my college classes. I also did well on the SAT and ACT and can pass on the knowledge I gained in the process. Overall I love all things science, but still ground myself in subjects that allow me to really think critically.

Currently, I am in my second year of medical school at Baylor College of Medicine.

I am working toward an MD at Stanford University. I am happy to help with MCAT, SAT, SAT subject, AP test prep, and general academic subjects. I'm a writer and editor with a passion for learning that I love to share -- I've been told my tag line should be "let's find out!" I'm a native Austinite, but I lived in New York while I got my Bachelor's in Comparative Literature and minored in Linguistics. After I graduated I moved back home to Austin and got my Masters in Global Policy Studies at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT. Now I'm in Fort Worth, with an MBA I picked up along the way (also from UT Austin) -- apparently I can't stay out of school for long.

I am continuing my education with a Master's in the same field. For years, I've helped my friends and siblings with homework for school, and they've always told me that I had a talent for teaching; I understand concepts very easily, and explanations come easy as well. The goal that I work towards for my students is to bless them holistically, both through my academic skills and through any relationship that I am able to build with them. I believe in teaching my key patterns of thinking; teach them how to fish instead of giving them a fish, as it is said. I am best at Math and Science, and any of the high-school level subjects pertaining to those fields.

I am currently a Master's student at Cornell University. I graduated with my Bachelor's of Science from Cornell in 2016 and I plan to attend medical school in the fall of 2017. I am really excited to be tutoring for Varsity tutors because I really enjoy helping students with subjects that gave me trouble in school. I'm Eisha, a Public Health major at the University of Texas at Austin with an interest in medicine and teaching.

I'm originally from Dallas, Texas. I'm currently a freshman at Rice University studying Neuroscience and Psychology on the premed track. I am incredibly passionate about learning; my favorite subjects are science and history. I've tutored high school biology, middle school science, English, and math, as well as elementary school English, science, and math in the past. I'd also love to help students be successful at standardized testing such as the SAT and help students by editing essays, whether for a class or for the college application process. I am a fourth year undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering Honors with minors in Computer Science and Business. I have always been passionate about helping others by continuing the chain of mentorship that I received and helping others avoid the same mistakes I once made. Prior to University, I spent my spare time spreading environmental awareness to elementary students, coaching middle school basketball teams, and guiding nascent MathCounts and Science Olympiad programs. Since arriving at UT Austin, I have had the privilege of teaching a classroom of middle schoolers for a semester as part of the UTeach Outreach program. I am most passionate about Math, Computer Science, and the college application process. In my experience helping struggling students prepare their applications for admissions, I have had the most fun reviewing essays and revising resumes. I also enjoy sharing tips and tricks to solving any Standardized Math Test questions! I truly believe education is the key to a better future, and it cannot be taken for granted because of the unequal opportunities that others face. Outside of academia, I enjoy working out, hiking, playing sports with my friends, and showing people new songs!

I am very passionate in assisting students to meet their goals. My goal is to be as understanding as possible while simultaneously pushing you to do your best in your courses. I have experience working with others in classes and tutoring and assisting a variety of students from college level science courses. Currently, I am a senior biomedical science major at Texas A&M University with an acceptance into Texas A&M College of Medicine this upcoming year. I am a graduate of New York University and received my Bachelor of Science in Finance. I also completed my premedical coursework at NYU and will be attending medical school in July 2015 as my next step to becoming a pediatrician. Ever since high school, I have tutored and worked with children of all ages and from all backgrounds. As a tutor at Mathnasium, I worked with elementary and middle school students to improve their math skills. In college, I worked for America Reads and served as a reading tutor for 3rd graders in a NYC public school. And after graduation, I spent my time before medical school teaching self-contained 4th grade in Houston ISD. While I tutor a wide range of age groups and content areas, I am most passionate about tutoring math, science, and college admission tests (SAT and ACT). As a public school teacher, I am also very familiar with 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade STAAR strategies and content. I have had a lifelong passion for working with children, teaching, learning, and math/science. I truly enjoy building relationships with my students and watching them grow academically. Besides teaching children, some of my hobbies include: hiking, skiing, swimming, working with animals, and enjoying the great outdoors.
