The greatest benefits of a college degree is to be able to open the mind to collaborate ideas. To learn new things and to be able to understand diversity. Collaborating with classmates helps us to come up with solutions to problems. The whole meaning of mankind's existence is to be able to find ways to to help others with the knowledge of a higher education. Like they say, "knowledge is power". The "power" we use to help others for good is a way we could all make a difference in this world. Being able to find solutions, for example, finding a cure for something by using the knowledge from a higher education.
Being exposed to diversity helps people become empathetic and learn to respect other people's cultures. Everyone enrolled in a higher institution learn to work together and often learn cultures by communicating with each other. We learn to respect and accept other cultures. Accepting other cultures reduces hate and racism. Usually racism is the fear of not knowing a person's culture or heritage. Hate could also be lack of education based on someone's culture and believe what others have said about someone's culture that is not true. The benefits of a college degree not only educates a person but also creates an environment where people learn to respect each other.
