I am a recent graduate of Adrian College with a Bachelor's degree in Arts Management. I have had experience as a tutor in both college and high school and wish to continue tutoring in my professional life as preparation to teach English in the Peace Corps. Because of this interest, the subjects I tutor in are English, Writing, Reading&Comprehension, and ACT prep. I have a strong passion for lifelong learning that I believe I can share with my students. When I'm not tutoring, I love to see live music at concerts and shows around the area.

I am eternally grateful! I minored in Chemistry after getting interested in the inner workings of organic chemistry. While going to college I earned money by tutoring classes I had already taken. I also offered "supplemental instruction" which were informal classroom question and answer sessions. I worked in a research lab after earning an undergraduate research fellowship and explored Physiology at the School of Medicine. Then went on to study Toxicology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. While there a decision appeared clear between focusing on research or teaching. I like teaching better. I truly enjoy spreading knowledge about Biology and Chemistry and finding fun ways to introduce people to these (often difficult) subjects.

I am a lifelong learner, teacher, and researcher in the field of physics. I received a PhD in Physics from the University of Michigan and a BS in Physics from Rice University. I have four years of physics teaching experience at the University of Michigan, primarily undergraduate laboratory courses with an emphasis on electromagnetism, circuits, waves, optics, and real-world applications of these and other physical phenomena. Many of these courses, including one I helped design, focused on helping non-STEM students master physics concepts that may be difficult to grasp in a standard classroom setting. I have tutored in a variety of subjects since high school, but most recently I have spent several years helping students understand concepts and succeed in coursework throughout a large variety of college-level physics topics, from basic mechanics to advanced electrodynamics and special relativity.

I am a PhD student at the University of Michigan, studying social psychology. Before this, I was at Duke University completing a BS in psychology as well as a MS in global health. My research combines the fields of global health and psychology by examining the effects of culture on self-related psychological processes. I hope to continue in academia to become a professor of psychology, as teaching is among my greatest passions.

I am a huge fan of film, theater, art, music, architecture and literature. I have also been collecting antiques, stamps, comic books, bottles and seashells for over thirty years.

I'm a college student attending the University of Michigan and I'm majoring in chemistry and computer science. I have two years of extensive experience tutoring high schoolers in chemistry and all subjects of the SAT and ACT. I can also say that I understand completely how difficult the process of test prep and high school chemistry can be because I recently survived the whole process myself having taken IB chem and the ACT/SAT in the last 1-2 years and studying and prepping extensively for them. I am a rising Junior computer science major, biochemistry minor at Carleton College. I remember how important asking for help was when I was studying for exams and would love to assist students going through the same process. Although I am knowledgeable in many subjects, I am most equipped tutoring in college and high school-level computer science, college and high school-level biology, and SAT prep. During high school, I tutored my classmates in preparation for the SAT, and have two years of experience tutoring college students in computer science courses. I learn best when I understand the practicality and relevance of the material, and hope to instill those concepts in my lessons.

I am an incoming honors mathematics major at the University of Notre Dame. I've tutored students in middle school math, SAT reading/writing/math, and college physics. Coming from a larger family, I always had a support system of older siblings that were there if I had any questions about school. Now, I hope to be that person for any student looking for help, whether that student's questions arise from learning for school or for fun. My favorite subject to teach is SAT prep; I improved my score quite a bit with studying, so I know it's possible for you too! I'm also a firm believer in "brain breaks" within studying to give a couple minutes of mental stimulation before and after plunging into tougher material. Outside of my education, I use any spare time I can find to run for track (400m/800m) and play board games with family and friends.
