I am a senior at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Biomedical Devices and a Bachelor of Science in Music. I have experience tutoring through MIT's Seminar XL and Tutorial Services Room programs in core subjects required for graduation (general chemistry, physics, calculus, multivariable calculus, and biology). I have also tutored students in SAT exam preparation for the past three years. I tutor a wide range of subjects, but my main passions are physics and math. I was fortunate enough to have a wonderful physics professor who turned physics into a way of viewing the world around me with a renewed sense of curiosity. I enjoy being able to spark this love of physics in my students, and as a consequence also sparking a love in mathematics, a necessary companion to physics. I also enjoy helping students prepare for the SAT because it is a test where practice makes perfect. Seeing a student gain confidence and start growing in knowledge is a very satisfying experience. Outside of academics my extra-curriculars and hobbies include: classical piano, EMS, swimming, 3D printing, and medical devices.
