I'm a graduate of the SUNY Oswego where I earned both my BS and MS degrees in chemistry and Rutgers University Graduate School where I received my Ph. D., also in chemistry. I have eighteen years of experience as a research scientist and seventeen years of experience as a high school and college level science teacher. I have also taught IB Chemistry and IB Physics (SL and HL). In addition, I have tutored Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus and Calculus. However, chemistry was my first love and it remains my favorite subject to teach. I have always loved science. But what I enjoy most is helping young people learn. I believe what I do best is to help students understand the physical world that surrounds them. When I teach I focus on short lessons followed by "hands-on" student activities to reinforce the lesson. When I'm not teaching I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, biking, golf and cross-country skiing.
