I was trained at my undergraduate institution, Hiram College, as a writing tutor, but I have also tutored subjects that I have experience or performed well in, such as chemistry, music, math, and physics. I really enjoy tutoring for the ACT because I like to show students new ways to think of standardized testing and further push them to be successful not only on the test but in school in general. I approach tutoring in a very casual manner; I like to be personable with my students and involve them in a very prominent way. Outside of academia, I am a runner and a musician. I am training for my second half marathon now! I play viola in several orchestras, a quartet, and my own church.
