If you're an IT professional with a test coming up, perhaps you can use some assistance from a Varsity Tutors CCA-N prep course. A CCA-N, or Citrix Certified Associate Networking, is a Citrix certification that shows prospective employers that you possess real-world experience and skills to bring great Citrix solutions to technology-related issues. In order to take the certification test, you have to be an IT professional or an IT professional-in-training. Do you feel that a CCA-N prep class can help you? Then contact a representative today for more information about our CCA-N prep classes.
The exam that IT professionals take is called the 1Y0-230 exam. It's a 64-question, multiple-choice test with a 90-minute time limit. You have to earn at least a score of 64 percent to pass. There are certain knowledge and skills you need to possess in order to do well on the exam. Here they are below:
Recommended Knowledge and Skills
Specifically, candidates should have the following knowledge and skills prior to
taking this exam:
- Basic Networking
- Windows and Linux Server administration
- Experience with Citrix virtualization technologies, such as Citrix Virtual
Apps/Desktops and StoreFront - Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or enterprise database servers
- Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
- Basic understanding of VPN concepts, including SSL encryption and
certificates
If you need more clarity on any of the above concepts, this is where a CCA-N course comes in. What's wonderful about CCA-N prep courses is that you receive one-on-one instruction with a tutor, making it easier for you to concentrate and ask questions. You can even request personalized CCA-N courses to accommodate your busy schedule.
The exam covers 14 sections, each containing a certain weight percentage. Keep in mind that section weights aren't used to calculate the total of your score. The exam questions may receive different weights, predicated on their overall significance. Below are the sections and their weight percentages:
Section Titles and Weights
Section | Weight |
Section 1: Getting Started | 7% |
Section 2: Basic Networking | 9% |
Section 3: Citrix ADC Platforms | 5% |
Section 4: High Availability | 7% |
Section 5: Load Balancing | 9% |
Section 6: SSL Offload | 7% |
Section 7: Securing the Citrix ADC | 7% |
Section 8: Troubleshooting | 9% |
Section 9: Citrix Gateway | 3% |
Section 10: AppExpert Expressions and Policies | 5% |
Section 11: Authentication, Authorization and Policies | 9% |
Section 12: Managing Client Connections | 7% |
Section 13: Integration for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops | 9% |
Section 14: Configuring Citrix Gateway | 7% |
Which of these sections would you like to review? In a CCA-N class, you don't need to follow a specific curriculum. A tutor can go over one, or all of them, with you in any order you wish. These CCA-N classes may also allow you to take in information in a way that best helps you. Do you think you would understand something like troubleshooting procedures better if you can see it in action? A tutor can show you a PowerPoint presentation to help you comprehend the subject better. Perhaps you want advice on how to decrease test anxiety. A tutor can suggest that you take some practice tests so that you would know what to expect, or they can teach you to use relaxation techniques, like breathing exercises, to attempt to ease your nerves.
We do everything in our power to connect pupils with tutors who align with their specific needs. We understand how hard it is for you to attend an in-person CCA-N class due to other responsibilities in your life. So, we use our database to look for tutors who best fits your schedule, then refer you to them. Additionally, we provide a Live Learning Platform, which enables you to speak with a tutor from the comfort of home or anywhere else that offers a stable Internet connection.
