Varsity Tutors can help you out if you are looking for a Cleveland Series 7 exam course. Whether you studied at Notre Dame College, Cleveland State University, or another university in the area, taking a prep class can help you review what you learned in school. If you want to obtain a license to work as a stockbroker in the U.S., you need to pass the Series 7 exam (after first passing the Securities Industry Essentials exam). Taking a Cleveland Series 7 exam prep course can help.
What will I be tested on when taking the Series 7 exam?
The Series 7 exam will test your knowledge of the essential skills required to work as a general securities representative. This includes seeking business from clients, opening accounts, evaluating customers' financial profiles, evaluating the financial objectives of potential clients, obtaining purchase and sales instructions, evaluating agreements, and processing and confirming transactions. However, 73 percent of the exam will cover skills related to providing customers with accurate investment advice, giving them good recommendations, transferring assets, and keeping accurate records.
You will have limited time to complete the test - three hours and 45 minutes for 125 questions. You must achieve a minimum score of 72 percent to pass.
How can I benefit from taking a Cleveland Series 7 exam class?
Taking a class is a great way to discover gaps in your knowledge. You might have missed out on an important piece of information that you need for the test, either due to forgetting it, becoming distracted for a few moments during your school class, or missing a day at school due to being sick. Whether you decide to take a two-week course or a four-week course, you will get a comprehensive review of the information you need to know for the test.
During your Series 7 class, you can ask questions. The instructor can provide an answer to your question or share the question with the other students in order to spark a discussion. One of the benefits of studying in a class is that you can gain knowledge and insights from students who come from different backgrounds and have different perspectives. You can also help out other students when they are having difficulty understanding concepts, such as trade executions or margin issues.
Our virtual classes take place over the internet. You will be able to interact with your class instructor and the other students through our Live Learning Platform just like you would be able to if you were in a physical room together. Virtual classes give you all the benefits of group study without the hassle of commuting through traffic or even leaving the comfort of your own home. As long as you have an internet connection, you can access the platform and join the class.
If you are interested in furthering your education outside of class, your teacher can make recommendations for resources that you can take out of the library or find on the internet. You can also ask for one-on-one time with your instructor outside of class. This way, you can ask questions that you did not have time to ask during class or go in-depth into specific topics, such as ETFs, the rights of common stockholders, taxation, and regulation.
Having a set time to attend class can help you overcome procrastination. When studying alone, it is easy to lose track of your goals and waste time. The class also has a set curriculum, which can help keep you on track.
Your class instructor can also give you helpful test-taking advice. Being able to pace yourself is important on tests that have time limits, such as the Series 7 exam. It is important not to spend too much time on the questions at the beginning of the test so that you have enough time left over for later questions. Your class instructor can administer practice tests to help you get used to the pace you'll need to set on test day. They can also advise you of ways that can help you take your best guess if you are unsure of the answer to a question.
