Varsity Tutors helps students from the University of Missouri ' Kansas City and other area schools find Kansas City Praxis prep to help them reach for their score goals. The Praxis tests measure the academic skills and subject-specific content knowledge needed for teaching. The Praxis tests are often taken by individuals entering the teaching profession as part of the certification process required by many states and professional licensing organizations. These tests include the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators (Core) and Praxis Subject Assessments. Whichever test you are taking, we can connect you with a Kansas City Praxis tutor or enroll you in an online class to help you prepare.
What Can Kansas City Praxis Prep Help Me Learn?
We can help you find Kansas City Praxis preparation that can help you review all of the concepts you will need to know to be successful on the test. Both versions are computer administered and there are no penalties for incorrect answers. The Praxis Core was designed to provide comprehensive assessments that measure the skills and content knowledge of candidates entering teacher preparation programs. It consists of three separate tests that may be taken either as three separate tests on separate days or as one combined test. The three tests are Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.
The Praxis Subject Assessments measure knowledge of specific subjects that K-12 educators will teach, as well as general and subject-specific teaching skills and knowledge. It consists of two groups of tests: Subject Assessments and Principles of Learning and Teaching Tests. Subject Assessments measure general and subject-specific teaching skills and knowledge. Tests include both selected-response and constructed-response (essay) questions. Principles of Learning and Teaching Tests measure your general pedagogical knowledge at one of four grade-level ranges: Early Childhood, K'6, 5'9 and 7'12. These tests feature selected-response questions and short constructed-response prompts based on information provided in case studies.A Kansas City Praxis prep course or tutor can help you review all of the concepts you need to know, and they can also guide you through taking practice tests, so that you can have a good understanding of what types of questions will be asked and can get a sense of the pace you need to answer them in order to perform well.
How Can Kansas City Praxis Prep Benefit Me?
You can benefit in many ways from enrolling in an online class or connecting with a private instructor. If you enroll in an online Kansas City Praxis prep class, you can learn with other students and a professional instructor in a virtual classroom. When you learn alongside other students, you can participate in discussions and collaborative learning activities, like role-playing situations, that can deepen your understanding of concepts and increase your retention of information. You can work with other students to learn new skills and techniques for studying. If you have additional questions and need to meet with your instructor outside of class sessions, you can request a one-on-one online meeting.
We can also connect you with a private tutor. Some people like to learn from a private instructor because it can provide them a personalized approach to learning. There are two types of private instruction that we can connect you with: online and in person. You can choose when and where you meet with your instructor for both options, but online tutoring allows even more options to learn from wherever because all you need is your computer and an internet connection. With online sessions, you will interact with your instructor using our Live Learning Platform. A private instructor can learn all about your needs and personality and base your learning plan on them. If you excel more in writing than you do in math, they can spend more session time focused on improving your math skills and knowledge.
We know that you likely have a very busy life. You probably have many things that you are responsible for other than preparing for this important exam, so we offer prep options that can fit any lifestyle. Whether you choose a class, tutoring, or both, you can choose when and where to get help preparing.
