Varsity Tutors has you covered with PANRE classes if you are a Physician's Assistant who wants to showcase your general medical and surgical knowledge. With the valuable help you will receive in your PANRE test prep, you can showcase your true skills and abilities. You are eligible to take the PANRE during your final two years of the certification cycle. It will test your abilities and skills in referring, diagnosis recognition, treatment, and more.
The help you will receive from a Varsity Tutors PANRE course can help you build study and test-taking skills that can be used for your current exam and throughout your academic future. Personalized PANRE test prep with qualified PANRE tutoring is definitely worth taking advantage of. Your instructor is knowledgeable about the content of the exam, and they can work with you during every PANRE class on the skills and concepts that you find the most difficult.
The benefits of taking advantage of the PANRE courses through Varsity Tutors are many. For one, your tutor can create PANRE prep sessions that are customized based on your specific needs. The sessions are open to customization as there is no set PANRE test prep syllabus that must be followed. If you are strong in diagnosis, you can spend less time focusing on that and more of your valuable PANRE prep time and efforts on learning how to refer properly or on treatments. Also, if you are lacking in time management skills, or you get nervous before a big test, a tutor can help you with strategies that address those specific issues as well.
PANRE tutors can use many techniques to gauge where you are at with your understanding of the material on the test. A tutor can keep track of your progress as you go along, adjusting each PANRE test preparation session to meet your changing needs to make sure you are always moving forward. This flexibility that is offered is one of the biggest benefits of working with a private PANRE prep tutor.
The PANRE covers many skills and there are three levels of the exam. Below you will find a table describing the skills and disease and disorder levels:
Disease/Disorder Assessment Levels
Skill | Level |
Likely diagnosis recognition based on signs, symptoms, and risk | 1 |
Referring appropriately | 1 |
Diagnose appropriately using signs, symptoms, risks, and/or results of diagnostic studies. | 2 |
Have first-line treatment knowledge for determined diagnosis | 2 |
In addition to levels 1 and 2, have the knowledge required to manage well-known comorbid conditions, contraindications, and complications. | 3 |
Your instructor can use many different techniques and tools to teach you the information. For example, if you learn better through visualizing information, your instructor can use graphs, charts, and flashcards. If you are an auditory learner, your teacher may use a Q&A discussion format to help you absorb the information. Your tutor may assign you practice problems and have you take practice exams as well during your PANRE test prep.
Below is a sample question that you may find on the practice exam and the real exam as well to help you get a feel for what to expect:
Sample Question
A 55-year-old man comes to the emergency department because he has had pressure-like pain in
the substernal region of his chest for the past 20 minutes. The patient says the pain radiates to his
left arm. He is nauseated and sweating profusely. Medical history includes long-standing
hypertension that is well controlled with diuretics. On the basis of this patient's history and
symptoms, which of the following pathologic processes is most likely to have occurred first?
- A. Activation of factor VII
- B. Activation of factor IX
- C. Activation of protein S
- *D. Adhesion of platelets
- E. Conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin
As with anything, the more time you put into your PANRE prep, the better prepared you can be on exam day. A tutor will happily work alongside you to help you get the most out of your study time. To get the help you deserve with expert PANRE preparation assistance, contact Varsity Tutors today.
