If you're looking for quality San Francisco-Bay Area NCLEX prep options, look no further because Varsity Tutors is here to support you in reaching for your NCLEX goals. If you're a prospective Registered Nurse (RN) or Practical Nurse (PN) we can help you prepare for the National Council Licensure Examination. The NCLEX was designed to determine one's mastery of the knowledge and skills needed to earn a license or registration. Passing the exam is a critical step in becoming a nurse so you'll need to make sure to adequately prepare to put your best foot forward. When you sign up for San Francisco-Bay Area NCLEX prep, you'll receive expert guidance while reviewing the topics necessary to do well on the exam.
What topics or skills can be covered during San Francisco-Bay Area NCLEX prep opportunities?
The NCLEX exam length and format can vary per student because the exam uses Computer Adaptive Testing (CAT). CAT adjusts the exam as you go depending on how well you're doing. Each time you answer a new question, the computer has a better idea of your particular ability. It will then give you a question you have a 50% chance of getting correct. This method of testing gives a more accurate picture of your potential and ensures your exam is not too easy or too difficult. Due to the CAT, the number and type of questions will vary based on the student's performance. Questions can be multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, ordered responses, or hot spots. If you're taking the NCLEX-RN, you have a maximum of 6 hours to complete your test. The NCLEX-PN is allotted a maximum of 5 hours for test-takers to finish. Many candidates do not need the entire amount of time to complete the exam.
A large portion of the NCLEX for both RN and PN versions requires you to understand the potential health needs of your clients. With proper NCLEX prep, you can receive excellent review lessons on topics such as creating a safe and effective care environment or health promotion and maintenance. You also be able to receive lessons on the topics of psychosocial and physiological integrity. You'll need to showcase your abilities and knowledge of the nursing process, communication, documentation, teaching/learning, culture, and spirituality.
In addition, you'll also need to demonstrate retention of the content you would have learned in social science, biological science, and physical science in the courses you would have taken in a higher education setting such as San Francisco State University or San Jose State University.
What are the benefits of signing up for a San Francisco-Bay Area NCLEX prep course or private instruction?
There are two options available to prospective nurses hoping to receive assistance preparing for the NCLEX with Varsity Tutors. We offer an online prep class and a connection to excellent private instructors.
When you sign up for a San Francisco-Bay Area NCLEX prep class, you'll be gaining access to an interactive, virtual classroom with many of the same benefits you find in a traditional classroom. During instructional sessions, you'll be watching live lessons of the day's content and will be able to ask your teacher questions directly. You'll also have the opportunity to interact with your classmates and work on group projects and engage in group discussions about what you're reviewing, such as pharmacological therapies or safety and infection control. Social learning can help you to retain knowledge longer. You'll sign into these live classes on a live virtual learning environment, bringing instruction to your favorite place to study, as long as you have access to a computer and internet.
If you prefer more independence and the ability to have some control over the lessons, you may wish to work with a San Francisco-Bay Area NCLEX tutor. This opportunity allows you to receive customized lessons based on your goals, personality, strengths, weaknesses, and the method of learning you prefer. You can also move at your own pace, enabling you to completely skip over the material you already know and focus on the content you need to review for further understanding.
Both options can help you prepare fully. You may even benefit from taking advantage of both opportunities.
