I'm a passionate explorer, educator, and scientist. I am a Planetary Science Researcher (PhD, 2008). I write grants to NASA to use spacecraft data to study the composition and evolution of rocky planetary bodies (Moon, Mercury, asteroids). My research is broad and interdisciplinary that equips me to tutor many subjects and also to show students connections between subjects when it improves subject mastery. I have been teaching and tutoring for over twenty years, at every level of my education and career. In high school I taught aerospace education and aviation search and rescue while I earned my pilot's license. As an undergraduate at Duke I tutored athletes in Geology, Calculus, and Electrical Engineering core courses and I was a teaching assistant for Computer Science and Linear Circuits Laboratory. In graduate school I was a teaching assistant in geology. And as a professor, I've taught undergraduate and graduate science courses at a major U.S. research university. Most recently I designed a combined English and Engineering elective to students with limited English Proficiency at a small university in Colombia.

I am proud to say that, over the past 30-plus years, I have had many of my students go on to post-secondary education in Math, Physics, and Engineering.

I am currently a student at the University of Central Florida, majoring in Biotechnology and in the Burnett Medical Scholars Program.

I am currently a Harvard student majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Applied Mathematics. I graduated Class Valedictorian in high school and was named National Merit Finalist. I took 16 AP classes in high school, including AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Computer Science A, AP Physics C : Mechanics and AP Physics 1, with a score of 5 in all of the tests. I scored a 1570/1600 in my SAT and 800 in the SAT Math Level 2 Subject Test and 790 in the SAT Physics Subject Test.

I am also adept in tutoring english grammar, language, and literature. There are few things I enjoy more than a true challenge, whether it be physical or mental. I aspire to be a great inventor and hope that my ideas and creations may simplify life as we know it and bring health, comfort, and joy to the masses. My favorite book is "Good Omens" by Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett and I recommend that everyone read promptly.

I'm an undergraduate at Princeton University working toward a degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, with the Sustainable Energy Certificate.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I am also a graduate of the high school International Baccalaureate Program. I have informal experience tutoring high school physics, but am most passionate about tutoring students for the ACT standardized test, having had extensive experience preparing for standardized tests throughout high school. I am eager to aid students in boosting their scores before their upcoming college applications, an important milestone in many students' lives. In my free time, I also enjoy playing tennis.

I am currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science. Outside of tutoring, my full time career is in software development.

I am a sophomore at the Georgia Institute of Technology and am working towards a major in Computer Engineering. I have been tutoring students of all ages and backgrounds in various math topics ranging from elementary school math to AP Calculus throughout high school. I love teaching math and always find it amazing to watch my students grow and improve in their mathematical abilities. While helping students with standardized testing, we go through several tricks and tactics that have helped my students succeed and have fun in the process. I am also well versed in Physics and have spent 3 years taking the highest levels of physics courses. I love playing all sports (especially soccer) and enjoy playing the guitar in my free time as well.

I'm Veena and I recently graduated from the University of Miami with a B.S. in Microbiology and Immunology with Chemistry and English Literature as my minors. I've tutored at a Math and Reading learning center in high school and became an employee of the Academic Resource Center at UM where I tutored my peers in STEM subjects. I was an assistant science teacher at a middle school for a year, and a workshop leader for chemistry classes at UM.

I am working towards a Bachelor of Arts in Pure and Applied Mathematics as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Astronomy and Physics. I have enjoyed studying math and science since I was in elementary school. I would always help my friends out by answering their questions about the material. For about the last five years, I have had my own tutoring business where I have tutored a wide variety of math courses from elementary school math to pre-calculus and calculus. I like to make sure my students have a complete understanding of the core concepts before going into practice questions. I have also had experience helping my peers with physics and computer science courses.

I'm in my 2nd year of medical school at the University of Central Florida. I previously graduated Cum Laude from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Human Biology and Education Studies. I was an Academic Mentor for underprivileged San Diego communities. I was also a Teaching Assistant for the Biology department at UCSD. I have taught in a variety of settings; from one-on-one tutoring to review sessions for 300 people in a lecture hall. I primarily tutor MCAT, SAT, and the SAT.

I am currently a senior in the Honors program, on track to graduate summa cum laude, and approaching completion of an undergraduate thesis on my work in the university's nanotechnology lab.

I am one year from completing my Bachelor of Science at the Florida Institute of Technology. I am majoring in both Astronomy and Astrophysics, as well as Planetary Science; with a minor in Computer Science. Upon completion of my Bachelor degree I plan on pursuing a Masters degree, most likely in Physics, Exoplanetary Studies, or Engineering Physics. I find that most students struggle in math and physics because they lack true engagement towards these topics, it is my personal philosophy that how you learn a subject can immensely impact your abilities to succeed in and willingness to pursue related subjects in your academic career. I enjoy working with all ages, as I believe it is never too late to start learning and I enjoy helping students become passionate about their studies. Personally; I am passionate about the fundamental interplay between foundational mathematics and its applications to higher-level physics. My tutoring style/strategies require interactive engagement with students and honest communication; this allows me to understand precisely what is necessary to enhance your learning experience, and encourages students to engage with the content with curiosity and excitement. I feel comfortable tutoring subjects ranging from elementary school mathematics, up to college level mathematics and physics courses. I have experience tutoring my college peers in a wide-range of topics from college algebra and calculus to advanced physics courses such as Electromagnetic Theory and Physical Mechanics.

I'm not shy, but if you are it's ok I once was too. I'm a student of the mind and so all of my teachings will be tailored toward each individual or group traits that day. It's ok to fail, but don't allow yourself to quit. Learning is hard sometimes because everyone's brain understands things in a different way. But those differences, when explored, can make learning fun and make complex topics easier to understand. I'm not the old guy who loves hearing his own voice and likes to stand; so I don't lecture. I like to keep teaching/learning process fun, interactive, and creative because no one likes to be bored and confused. So involvement is key!

I'm a current student at the University of Central Florida and I love to tutor passionate students in a variety of subjects. I've taken and passed 15 AP exams in high school, and I've taken several courses at UCF that I could tutor as well.

I'm currently an undergraduate student at Georgia Institute of Technology pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. I mostly tutor subjects that reside in the STEM field as those subjects are my strong points. I have been a tutor in the past back in high school. During that time, I realized that helping students understand difficult material can be very awarding. In my free time, when I'm not studying for school or practicing sports, I like to play video games and hangout with friends. I'm a freshman at Stanford University pursuing a degree in mathematical and computational science. I've been tutoring students from grades 3-12 throughout high school, and I look forward to continue in college. Nothing excites me more than learning something new, and I strive to share my excitement with my tutees.

I am a graduate of Rice University with a Bachelor of Science in Physics, a Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy, and a minor in Neuroscience. My previous tutoring experiences have primarily focused on college level physics, math, and chemistry; AP Calculus, AP Physics, and AP Chemistry; the ACT and SAT college entrance exams; general mathematics at the high school level; and middle school level math and english for state standardized testing. Additionally, I have experience working with students with learning differences including dyslexia, ADHD, and ASD. As someone who loves learning, I am a firm believer in making our meetings enjoyable as well as educational. STEM subjects in particular have the reputation for being boring and complicated, but I love that as a tutor I can help students make sense of the topics and find the fun!

I am a sophomore at Washington University in St. Louis studying business. I am majoring in Economics and Strategy and Organization and Strategic Management with a minor in Psychology. I have tutored students in all grade levels. Most recently, I have volunteered at the Biome School in St. Louis tutoring elementary school students. My subject strong suits are ACT and SAT test prep and math. In my free time, I like to ski, play board games and watch sports.

I am currently conducting breast cancer research as the lab manager in an immunology lab at Columbia University Medical Center. I am extremely comfortable with physics and mathematics (from my studies) as well as biology, chemistry, and biochemistry (through my research experience) and sincerely enjoy tutoring students in those areas. I also enjoy tutoring for standardized tests. While I was studying for the SAT, ACT, and MCAT, all of my preparation was through self-study; as a result, I have a unique approach to preparing for tests that emphasizes knowing the test itself more than the actual material. In addition to tutoring natural sciences and standardized test prep, I tutor Spanish, which I studied for 7 years and spoke for a year while living in Spain. In my spare time, I play guitar, cook for my friends, read, and play with my cat Suki.

I am currently a senior at Johns Hopkins studying Biomedical Engineering. I have a lot of experience tutoring in math, physics, chemistry, and thermodynamics. I have also proof-read essays for college applications and english classes as well. Outside of school I like to cook, play basketball, and listen to music.

I am a May 2012 graduate of Princeton University with a degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering currently working in Midtown Manhattan as a consultant. In the past I have had a variety of opportunities to tutor - from one on one tutoring for the SAT in high school and peer tutoring in college, to online tutoring students in Korea and and teaching a two month English seminar in Brazil. Although I have a variety of academic interests, my educational emphasis in math and sciences has led me doing the majority of my tutoring in these subjects. I am a student at Cornell University pursuing a double major in Biological Sciences, concentrating in computational biology, and Computer Science.
