The reason I love being a tutor the most is because I can relate with my students. I myself once had to go through the same learning process for each subject that my students now face as well, and so I know what that feels like, and love to help guide others through it. Likewise, I truly understand where those confusions often lie, and--most importantly--how to best overcome those obstacles to reach the a proper understanding of the material at hand. A little bit more about me! I'm an avid reader of a plethora of genres, and my other hobbies include baking, playing tennis, writing poetry, and watching Star Trek reruns. I'm also involved in various cultural and human rights organizations at college. In any remaining spare time, I can usually be found reading the news on actual physical newspapers. Regarding my tutoring philosophy: as a tutor, I believe that the most important way to help my students understand their material better is by simply being there for them every step of the way. This way, students can feel comfortable making and consequently recognizing their common mistakes, which we can then work on to eventually fully grasp the material. I recognize that each person is unique and learns differently, and so I always try various learning methods to find the best technique for an individual's specific learning style that allows them to succeed the most.
