For English Learners, it is important to incorporate a person's first language and culture into lessons as a way of assimilating and adapting new practices. Learning a new language doesn't mean forgetting our first language, so we want to embrace it and use it as a learning tool for success.

I am a recent graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. I majored in history and completed a high honors awarded thesis. I am passionate about academia and education. In university I taught my own accredited course and worked as a research apprentice. I also work as an essay specialist helping high school students with their college admissions and scholarship essays. I am excited to bring my teaching and educational experience to you.

There are different ways to teach a student, you just need to be patient and learn how the student learns best.... Every child can be successful.
