The student and I covered fractions, more specifically reducing fractions using the greatest common factors. It was definitely a challenge for her, which she actually seemed to enjoy. Our time went by so quickly because we were extremely productive. She did a good job.

Tutoring review by Liban in Forest Hills, PA
We began the session with vocabulary building and practice with analogies. I gave the student a copy of the most popular analogies. We then practice identifying relationships between words using the cheat sheet I gave her. Whatever words she didn't know I had her write them down along with its definition. We also performed a practice run of the reading section. The reading material was a little more advanced which gave her some trouble. I gave her some tips on how to approach certain questions that appear in the section frequently. We ended the session going over corrections.

Today we reviewed for the student's upcoming test on radicals, exponents, and imaginary numbers. He is still having some difficulty with the rules for multiplying radicals versus adding/subtracting them; I reminded him that if he's adding or subtracting, they must be like terms and are treated the same as variables (i.e. x times x is x to the second power, but x+x is 2x, and same with radicals). He has been practicing and between that and our sessions, hopefully he'll do well on his test.
