Certified Tutor

As a tutor, I desire to give students confidence in their effort and abilities. My goal is to provide tools, support and guidance while working toward independent learning and success. I emphasize speaking and conversing in Spanish so that students can learn to apply the language beyond the textbook. I have taught ELL one-on-one in community settings for 3 years to adolescents and adults. I also spent 7 weeks in Kojima, Japan teaching English to students ranging from Pre-K to Adults. I have an excellent record in Spanish, earning high marks in all Spanish courses taken. I have also traveled in Bolivia and Mexico, advancing my use of the language.
