Noah
Certified Tutor
I'm a tutor currently living in Astoria, NY. I am a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Williams College and Phi Beta Kappa member with extensive experience in teaching in tutoring.
In addition to being a martial arts black belt and instructor, I tutored throughout high school and college. While at Williams I was a peer tutor for various subjects including writing and political science. I have also tutored per-calculus, biology, geometry, and SAT Math, reading, and writing.
My strengths as a tutor are quickly analyzing student's learning habits and tailoring my approach to best suit their needs and skills. I set reachable goals for every session and clear expectations about my responsibilities and the students responsibilities in preparing for our work together in order to maximize the time we have. I pride myself on being able to explain abstract concepts in practical terms and on being approachable and understanding. I am a warm, funny, and determined person who genuinely loves teaching. In addition to tutoring I perform improv comedy in the city, work at an emerging theater company and still practice martial arts in my spare time.
I look forward to working with you or your student soon!
