Certified Tutor

For the past three and a half years I have been working as a habilitation provider and tutor for children with Autism and their siblings. I have worked with them on various subjects, such as math, reading, writing and speech. Through this job, I have gained experience tutoring children anywhere from ages 3 to high school.

Furthermore, I spent this past summer of 2012 living in a rural village in Africa, teaching school children (ages 11-15) to read, write and speak English. It was one of the hardest and most rewarding things I have ever experienced.

Throughout high school and college, I have excelled as a writer and am extremely confident in my ability to write and edit, whether it be creative writing or term papers. I also pride myself on my ability to tailor the way I write or say things so that someone will be able to better understand and learn. Working with children with Autism has taught me that everyone has a different learning style and we cannot all learn the same way.
